Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi had his future with the Blues brought into further doubt by the Daily Mail on Monday after he was pictured playing five-a-side football in a Galatasaray shirt over the weekend.
While the Belgian attacker could leave Stamford Bridge during the summer because of a lack of first team opportunities, he was simply borrowing a shirt from Sunderland loanee Jason Denayer for the kickabout and he was clearly surprised that the story had made the news.
The 23-year-old joined Antonio Conte’s side from Marseille for £33m in July, but he is yet to make a Premier League start and has made just 23 appearances – with most of those coming from the substitutes’ bench – in all competitions, scoring five goals.
Chelsea fans were quick to give their reaction to Batshuayi’s comments via social media, with many asking him to stay and believing that he deserves an opportunity in the team.
