Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to express their approval of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho’s partnership in midfield, after the duo were in dominant form as they swatted Newcastle aside by four goals to nil.
It is only one of a handful of times that the summer signing has started alongside the Reds’ captain this season, with much of the debate being over which one of the two should start in the team, with no one really considering the prospect of them playing together.
Jurgen Klopp looks to have stumbled across an extremely effective midfield pairing, however, as the £44m Brazilian international’s clever defensive work allows the England international to be more adventurous and play the ball forward more.
It also allows the Premier League leaders to have a solid midfield base for their attackers to express themselves freely, as they feel comfortable with the security behind them.
