Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino decided to introduce Giovani Lo Celso in the 73rd minute of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Everton.
Tanguy Ndombele was the player to leave the field, and it would be fair to say that the alteration was not well received by the Tottenham fans on social media.
Indeed, many were furious that Christian Eriksen was allowed to stay on the field whilst Ndombele departed, whilst others were just unhappy in general at the substitution.
Spurs were incredibly close to picking up what would have been a huge three points with Dele Alli handing them an advantage at Goodison Park.
It was not to be for the struggling capital side, though, as Cenk Tosun came up with a late, late leveller for Everton, who had lost Andre Gomes to a horror injury.

Lo Celso is yet to be fully unleashed due to a recent hip problem, but the fact that he was not used until the latter stages of Sunday’s affair did not go down well at all.
