According to Marca, Davies' agent and Bayern have been in talks over the past week but a contract extension is yet to be agreed upon. The report adds that the Canadian's representative, Nedal Huoseh, has given the order for lawyers to draw up contracts over a Madrid move. Los Blancos are said to be 'confident' the 24-year-old's desire to play for them will end up tipping the scales in their favour.

Davies reportedly agreed terms with Madrid nearly a year ago but no contracts have been signed. The report states Bayern have offered to make the left-back the club's second highest-paid player behind striker Harry Kane but so far, the Bundesliga team is yet to make a breakthrough in negotiations. An intriguing few months lie ahead, with Davies out of contract this summer.
