Papps struck six fours and three sixes and shared a 68-run second-wicket partnership with Stephen Murdoch as Wellington coasted to an eight-wicket win.Sent in to bat, Northern Districts never really got into a groove, as five of their batsmen reached double figures with only Daryl Mitchell crossing 30. Mitchell top-scored with an unbeaten 31-ball 36, out of a score of 124 for 5. Offspinner Jeetan Patel was miserly, taking the new ball and finishing with figures of 4-0-14-1, while Grant Elliott picked up two wickets with his medium-pace.
